Welcome Dr. Haigh!

The Nielsen Eye Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Douglas Haigh, O.D., to our practice! Dr. Haigh specializes in Contact Lens Fittings , Ocular Disease, Sports Vision, Low Vision, and Dry Eye Management. His subspecialty is in Orthokeratology and refractive surgery care and management. He is committed to patient education and preserving excellent eye health. Dr. Haigh also believes that patients should be offered the best technology available to provide the clearest vision possible for his patients. Dr. Haigh earned his optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. He completed specialized training at the Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center in West Haven, Ridgefield Family Eye Care, and Newington VA Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Haigh is a member of the American Optometric Association, Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, Connecticut Association of Optometrists and a proud volunteer for the Special Olympics and optometric screenings within the community.
